The Zapper Trap is a new Epic trap that can be hurled at structures. Once it attaches to a surface, it zaps from both sides of the surface, making it both a missile and stealth weapon for a distance of up to one tile from the surface for damage points of 50 hits per zap. Once thrown, there is a 1-second deploy time before it will be activated and then a 0.5 second before firing, which gives opponents barely enough to jump out of the way if they notice in time. There will then be a 2-seconddelay before the next zap.
It stacks at one item per inventory slot even though it drops in stacks of two and can be found among all Loot drop sources.
Return of the Floating Island
The Floating Island has returned to Fortnite. It makes for a great height advantage as it slowly floats around the map and is accessible only through a low-gravity vortex after the initial launch from the Battle Bus.
